Hello 2005!

When everybody else was busy scouring wetmarkets and groceries on new year's eve to complete the traditional 13 rounded fruits, I spent that day quietly treading on the muddied ricefields in my favorite village up in Banaue.

I endured a nine-hour bus ride, several landslides, one-hour jeep ride, and finally an hour of downhill trek before reaching this heaven on earth. With just me, a bottle of red wine, and my Carpenters cd.

victoria: thanks, hope you got the email i sent you. too bad we didn't meet when you came. tawag ako ng tawag sa celfone mo hoping na roaming ka.

vervepipe: there are certain tags you use. if you have a photobucket account, it'll all make things easy for you.

din2: oist idol, thanks for your help. galing galing mo talaga!

baray: it's called batad where the most preserved terraces are. maraming inns doon. ang overnite rates range from 50 pesos to a hundred. walang celfone signal. sa wakas nagka-kuryente four days before new year pero from 6pm to 10pm lang. dati kasi wala talaga so 7pm pa lang tulog na mga tao.
